Combining his work ethic with an experimental approach to producing, the sound of Kiasmos is built around a robust variety of drum machines, synthesisers and tape delays to result in a signature, deeply textured rhythm which has taken him from Reykjavík to New York, Amsterdam, Melbourne and more. Heading up our Middle Floor on 11th May, we’re delighted to welcome the Icelandic selector back to the club on 11th May for a captivating DJ set.
Stimming’s productions are filled with a multitude of his own unique, charismatic field recordings where he never uses the same sample twice. Nothing is sacred; sources of sound have included a coffee machine, children’s toys, loose change, a vinyl pressing plant, a 22.000 HP ship engine and an Ikea pizza cutter. Having released on a plethora of labels including Hart & Tief, Gruuv, AZZUR, Ki Records and many more, Stimming is undoubtedly one of the most exciting and innovative art-ists to accompany Kiasmos for a live set in our Middle Floor.
London-based selector Tom Law and Egg residents Kyle E and Luther Vine complete the bill.
